Education
Scientific Programs & Workshops

LAISPS’s Program Committee offers three tiers of educational experiences to the community covering contemporary psychoanalysis and its application to culture, available both online and in-person.

  • Abstract orange and yellow background with white gear icons and a circular design.

    Scientific Workshops

Scientific Workshops bring in the leading contemporary thinkers in psychoanalysis for in-depth discussions of their work.  These events are available both on-line and in-person.

  • Digital overlay of icons representing teamwork, communication, ideas, and technology on an orange and black abstract background.

    Psychoanalytic CE Seminars

The Psychoanalytic Seminars Series offers small, more informal, typically in-person events in which 10-30 people are led in a focused conversation on important clinical topics by a LAISPS candidate, member, or training and supervising analyst.

  • Outline of a human head with a gear and wrench symbol inside, surrounded by an incomplete circle, overlaid on an orange brick wall background.

    Psychoanalytic Conversations

Psychoanalytic Conversations, our newest series, offers psychoanalytic thinking applied to contemporary culture, as we use psychoanalytic tools and concepts to understand current issues in an informal setting to foster fresh and engaging perspectives for clinicians and the community.
